Just before the holidays one of my stamping friends, Lynn, came over with a binder with images from of all of her stamps and asked me to come up with a challenge for the two of us. I pointed to a picture of Louis Vuitton tangerine and fuschia shoes that I'd torn out of and old Vogue magazine and tacked to my bulletin board and suggested that as the basis of our challenge. The way that the light caught the "tangerine" satin on the shoes made it actually look like Peach Parfait which is why I had torn out the picture in the first place. I needed to get my head around this color. The fuschia actually looks like Melon Mambo.
To make this even more challenging, Lynn chose the stamp sets out of my cupboard that I needed to use and I chose the stamp sets that she should use out of her binder. You will see the stamp sets that she chose for me listed below the card pictures.
I haven't been able to find an online photo of the shoes so here is a picture of the magazine page on my bulletin board:
Here are a few of the cards I've made:
Fast & Fun Notes, Eastern Blooms
Awash with Flowers
Punch Potpourri
Awash with Flowers
I have several more pieces that I have stamped or cut out sitting in my "make something with this piece box" so you may be seeing more of this color combinationin the future.
Lynn and I wrapped up this challenge in early January and started another that we finished up this last Tuesday. I hope to be posting on that challenge very soon.
Stay warm!
Chris

Hi Chris!
Wow, ALL the cards you made look exactly like the colors of those beautiful designer shoes! I like all of them! Your Awash with Flowers cards look fabulous--that's yet another set that I have not quite dabbed in ink even once. I hope you're doing great...it's been forever since I have checked out everyone's blogs, but hope to now that I have some supplies with me to use now. Greetings from Taiwan!
