One of my favorite challenges at Splitcoastampers is Wednesday's sketch challenge. This sketch was a challenge back in October and I originally used it with my "just off the truck" Stampin' Up! Country Blessings set. I tried it again for my first card with Happy Harmony.
I like the way the French Flair works on the Always Artichoke. Maybe that's why I like this sketch so much: it's a great way to play with backgrounds! The brads were a last minute addition and, while they add interest, I think I'll add them somewhere else next time as I don't like having the prongs show on the inside of the card. It may be hard to see but I stamped the Linen stamp in Sahara Sand on the card of the same color.
Tomorrow I'll try my hand at posting a tutorial. I've been playing around with a technique I call Shady Layers. Wish me luck!
