I've been working on ideas for an upcoming stamp camp. These 3x3 cards all use a new set called Just So Sayings, from the Spring Mini Catalog and would be great gift enclosure cards for baby girls, showers or weddings. There is even a "boy oh boy" stamp in the set so we won't have leave the boys out.
The cards on the left and right also use images from a small set, Doodle That, stamped on dry embossed spaces. I did the dry embossing with a stencil made from cereal box cardboard and a punch. I usually refer to these as my cereal box stencils. I have a few different techniques for making them and centering them on my card so that I don't need a light source. You can either make the stencil the same size as the card or make markings on your stencil to show where to place the card. I'll try to post pictures of how this works in the next few days but don't wait for pictures if you'd like to give this a try. It's really quite easy and you only need some cardboard, something to cut the cardboard, and an inexpensive stylus or crochet hook (yarn, not thread size) to do the dry embossing.
I used Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow and So Saffron markers for coloring the images which were stamped with Black Stazon on Whisper White cards. The words are stamped in either Pretty in Pink or Regal Rose. The border for the center card is paper from the new Petals and Paisley collection. Pink gingham ribbon and the corner rounder - for scallops round out the supplies used for these little cuties.
