Since I had just finished writing yesterday's post when I went to try the SCS challenge, I thought I should do one more variation of the cereal box stencil. The challenge was to paint the image with a little water after stamping it. I made an oval stencil with the coluzzle, used it on a large Whisper White card and stamped inside it with a lovely image from Petal Prints. I stamped it in Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac and Orchid Opulence, swooshed it a little with my aquapainter and added a message from Warmest Regards below the oval.
When I made this card I used an anywhere punch to make holes for the ribbon. I later made several of these for a swap with my stamp club and just tied bows and attached them with mini glue dots. Much easier! In fact, I put together 5 of these cards in 20 minutes. The only difference was that I stamped only in Almost Amethyst and used the light blue organdy ribbon - which I think should actually be called amethyst - and used Thinking of You from the same message set. I took a picture before swapping them but the pale colors , though beautiful in real life, didn't photogragh too well.
Thanks for checking my blog. I really appreciate all the sweet comments!
