Thank you to everyone who offered a comment about their sources of inspiration and also their kind comments about my blog. I guess it's not surprising that the most frequent response from this group would be blogs. Other responses were Splitcoast and its members' galleries, fashion, home decor, magazines, gift wrap, the stamp and even childrens' books. I found DawnMercedes' response particularly touching "Usually I am inspired by the person I am making a card for. Typically, I make a card or a gift with a specific person in mind. I can then pick out the style, colors, and images that bests suit my friend!" Please take time to read the other responses. You'll be glad you did!

My daughter picked two digits, 1 and 6, in that order which means the winner is Claudia F., the 16th person to leave a comment, is the winner of my first blog candy! Her little package will consist of:

and this collection of cardstcok, stamped backgrounds, buttons and ribbon - inspired by, appropriately, a piece of Stampin' Up! Seaside ribbon. (The colors on the photo don't show it really well but the top piece is Bashful Blue stamped with white Houndstooth, a retired background stamp. IRL it's a very pretty piece.)
I also wanted to let you know that there is a post on the demonstrator side of the Splitcoast Forums with alternate sayings for Crab & Company. Some are pretty hilarious!
