This card uses of my favorite new stamp sets, Happiness Shared. I was thinking it is a wild rose but a friend suggested that it may be a gardenia. I guess that makes sense when it's done in white. What do you think? Anyhow, it is a joy to color!
This was done with Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Peach Parfait and Always Artichoke markers and a blender pen on watercolor paper. I also used a Signo White Gel pen to help the flowers stand out from the watercolor paper. The card base is Sahara Sand with Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand DSP. I know, all those new colors and here I am playing with neutrals. I started off trying to use an Always Artichoke layer but once I tried Sahara the rest of the card fell into place.
Take note:
1. When you are using a fairly large bow such as this try giving other aspects of your card dimension too. I stacked two dimensionals instead of one in each of the corners plus the center to boost my image layer.
2. The little pearls add some extra dimension to balance the bow.
3. The watercolor paper gives you plenty of time to blend your colors, even if you are using markers. Work in smaller areas until you feel comfortable.
I've taken a few other pictures so hopefully less time will pass before my next post!
Until next time,
Chris
