Here is an easy to produce Christmas card that we made at my last stamp club meeting. You may recognize it from an earlier Cream on Cream post. The embossed section is actually a separate layer. You can get 6 (5.5 x 3.5") layers from a sheet of cardstock. The seam binding covers the "seam". The shimmer paint is applied with a sponge dauber.
As I've mentioned before, Crumb Cakie is a VERY useful ink. I use it for shading on other cards but here it works great for keeping a ivory card looking monochromatic. Gold metallic ink or embossing would also look well if Crumb Cake isn't part of your collection yet.
