Checkered Forest Life

Another use for the checkered wheel...

This really just started out as a practice sheet for coloring the Life in the Forest animals. I thought I would trim it down but didn't want to part with any of the images so it turned into a square card.

Follow My Heart Duo

Here are a couple more catch up cards that I did in January while my downline Annette was here with her Follow My Heart stamp set. (BTW, check out Annette's Happy Watercolor card. It is GORGEOUS!)

I was testing a new jar of Pewter embossing powder. It's just a bit more subtle than Silver. You can read more about doing the dry embossed heart here.

This is the Pewter powder on Sahara Sand with an Ivory Naturals card base. I really like to use the silver Baker's Twine. It has a firmer weight than other Baker's Twine and adds a lovely accent.

It's certainly been a while since I have posted. Without too much chatter I'll start trying to catch up on some cards I did back in December and January that have been popular at a few events I've held:

This ruffled ribbon is so easy to use and has been a popular bonus item with my customers.

These next two cards feature one of my (many) favorites from the Occasions Catalog: So Very Grateful. Though the floral images aren't necessarily designed to work with any specific framelit set it plays nicely with quite a few of them!

Most of the coloring I've done on these cards is with markers and maybe a few strokes with the Aqua- painter.

I'll try to be back soon with a few more shots. I've been redecorating and have lost some of my go-to card staging spots. I'll keep experimenting.
