I did these almost two months ago when Liz, Annette and I got together for our semi-annual 2 day stamping blitz with new stuff. I have to apologize for my last post - I'm not good posting with my iPad but now I'm excited to say I've got a new laptop which just may increase my posts...

These cards were very much inspired by Amy Kolling's card. I switched out the words and dies while keeping Amy's colors when I was playing with Annette's Birthday Bash set. I had opened the new Mini Treat Bag thinlets for the first time to try layering the sponged die cut words onto a couple of layers of black as I'd done earlier on my Crazy for You Valentine. I did the same thing with a star punched with the Confetti Stars Border punch from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.

This is basically the same idea with a alternate layout

Animal Valentines and Blendabilities

Ok, I haven't been on here for ages but Stampin' Up! Has recently noted production problems with their Blendabilities and I thought that I would throw out what I've been doing when "I must not have capped my blendability tight enough" ... or for some other reason they are dry... I remoisten the brush tip with (shhh!) Copic Various ink 0 Colorless blender. Maybe 1/4 teaspoon or so and I usually add a drop or two of the corresponding SU regular refill just in case it would lighten the color. The dark Cherry Cobbler I rescued a month ago is still matching the chart I made when it was brand new last year. I usually put a little in a small plastic cover placed in a larger glass so the pen can lean against the larger glass. I think that the refill ink is more important if the the blendie ink is actually used up. If it is just dry you could get away with just the various ink. It may be lighter at first but the color will eventually come back though it may take a day or two. No guarantees but I've used this quite a few times. I even tried to lighten some of the darker markers though they don't really stay lightened for long. Here is unedited photo of one of the cards that might have helped helped dry up the Cherry Cobbler Blendability. Unedited because I can't edit photos when using my iPad with typepad. The borders use the stacked with love DSP. Love that stuff. This is also one of about 20 designs we used to make sure all 90+ residents where I work received a handmade Valentine last month. Fun project with a great team!
