This is a catch up post...

I made a couple of cards last winter for some co-workers who were moving on. I love this crazy crew, From the Herd, long with several simple greetings. Both cards were watercolored with ink from ink pads but on one I decided to make the pig look more comfortable by giving him a little mud. Kind of like me today as I'm catching up out in the garden instead of spending time in my stamp studio.

This now retired set was great for doing from all of us cards when a little humor is in order. I think this one will be staying in my collection.

A Fresh Take on an Old Favorite

One of my favorite color combinations is Kraft, Red, Glorious Green, Green Galore plus a bit of Black and White: some colors that I don't normally use or even like a lot but I love them together.  When I saw the new Cucumber Crush I started thinking about a new spin on that color combo. So that is where I started when I took Circle of Spring out for it's first spin.

 I used my aquapainter with Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder along with the Signo White Gel Pen. I initially stamped the squiggle lines from Tin of Cards in white craft ink but waited too long before I decided that it should have been embossed for a bolder white. Sooo, I just went over it with the gel pen.

Wilderness Awaits is isn't waiting any longer

Wilderness Awaits was the first stamp set I tried out from the new Stampin' Up catalog and I couldn't wait to try watercoloring some of the animals. My dog turned out better than the fox so he made it onto a card. I used by ink pads and a aqua painter. Colors are So Saffron, Delightful Dijon (new!), Wild Wasabi and Pool Party. The little bit of trim below the image is from Bohemian DSP.
