This is really just playing...
...with the Botanical Builders Framelit dies (#140625) and the coordinating stamp set, Botanical Blooms (#1400757) from the Occasions 2016 catalog. I actually preordered them as a 3 item bundle (#140819) that also included Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper (#140853). Last night I was just playing around while others watched the football, getting an idea for how these pieces work together. On this card I layered a Melon Mambo flower over the same flower in Tangerine Tango. You can see how the colors look together a bit better here:
The leaves are stamped and cut from Cucumber Crush. The flower centers from Basic Black and Tangerine Tango. On my Big shot the details of the flower and black center were cut better when I passed my sandwich back and forth through the big shot 3 times before removing them.
I thought the playful dots from Everyday Chic DSP (#138445) made the perfect background for the bright, tropical colors of this blossom. The Greeting is from another Occasions 2016 set, Suite Sayings (W#140709, C#140712).
I thought I might be able to keep up with posts through the holiday weekend but I was enjoying having all 3 of my adult children home too much. Today I'll be bringing the last one to catch a flight home to NYC and I hope to keep up with more regular postings.
One of the great things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator though means that there is always something to look forward to after the holidays: A new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration. And, for my he'Artstringstamper downline members, our stamping session in mid January. I love the creativity as we inspire each other for 2 solid days. If you are in the Minnesota area and have ever thought about being a demo let me know. We'd love to have you join us!
