One of the first sets I played with from the 2018 Occasions catalog was Flying Home. I wanted a test out my new Blends a little more. Flying Home and the Blends were part of a little stamping kit I brought with me when I spent a long weekend with my daughter in Indiana last December. She was on call part of the time so it this was my back up plan.
- I love this color combination! It kind of reminds me of a Scandinavian Folk Art style wall paper border I had a few decades ago.
- I think we have a theme going this week with Stitched Shape and Layering Circles Framelits this week. Have I convinced you yet that they are major, major tools? They help so many images look really finished!
- Three stamp sets here for an image, greeting and texture: Besides Flying Home (145926 -wood) (145929-clear), Burlap background stamp (143979-wood) (143982-clear), Wood Words Bundle (145315 -wood) (145316 -clear).
- Blends: Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky, Old Olive, Calypso Coral
- Ink pads and card stock: Daffodil Delight and Dapper Denim. Dapper Denim's stint as a 2016-2018 In-Color is just about over. While I really wish Stampin' Up!'s color gurus would extend it's life I'm not sure how much influence I have - so order your reinker back up paper supply soon!
- Finish it off with Dapper Denim 3/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (144225) and Whisper White Baker's Twine (124262).
Dapper Denim is on of the 2016-2018 colors that are scheduled to retire at the end of this catalog year. I always recommend purchasing refills, paper etc of any of your favorites before the end of Sale-A-Bration. Sometimes things start to run low or run out in April.
Happy Stamping!
