Yes, I know it has been awhile since I've graced the pages of my inkpad blog. It's definitely not because I haven't been stamping...
1. I've been continuing our downsizing project by thinning out our guest room closet which was bursting with various stamping paraphernalia. Quite few trips to Goodwill plus a stash of special sets that will appear on my stamps for sale page soon.
2. I've been tweaking the arrangement of my little stamping pantry. Mostly putting things up on the walls to increase the available work space on my desk.
3. Turning 60 - yikes!!! We celebrated by spending a long weekend with our kids in Chicago.
4. I bought myself a birthday present - an Arkon camera stand to make videos - there went a little of the space on my stamp table that I cleared off. It seems there is a little bit of a technology curve for me to get this going but I did a trial run of Facebook Live with my he'Artstringstamper (downline group) last week. With a little more practice and expertise I hope to be adding these to my From My Inkpad to Yours Facebook page every now and then. I can't tell you yet when it will be but go ahead and follow me so you don't miss it - even for a laugh!
5. Work - (I'm a nurse.)
Now that I've made you read through all my excuses I must share a card or too, right? And since it is St Patrick's Day what could be more appropriate than a Lemon-Lime Twist Bobble Bubble Over card:
I created this for a demonstrator get together in January. Lemon Twist + Black and White is such an easy go-to color combination!
If you haven't gotten a chance to try out the Sale-A-Bration Bubbles and Fizz DSP don't waste anytime in getting it. I will be showing you another set that loves being graced with these joyful colors in the near future. Sale-A-Bration ends March 31 and if you don't have a regular demonstrator I would love to help you get your hands on these papers.
- Yes, this uses the Bubble Over Bundle (146082), Occasions Catalog (OC) when I last blogged in December.
- The black and white stripe is from Tutti-frutti (145606) 6"x6" DSP also from the OC.
- Other framelits include Layering Circles and Stitched Shapes. I know this seems like a lot of framelits on one card - you could pass on the stitched framelit and just use Layering Circles. I must say though that these two sets are always at the front of my framelit stack since I use them so often. They are major tools in my little pantry!
- The bottles are die cut from Whisper White Thick card stock, sponged with Lemon-Lime Twist and then spritzed with water to give the illusion of bubbles. The top bottle is tied with Lemon-Lime Twist 1/4" Ombre Ribbon (144234).
- The greeting is stamped with Basic Black on Whisper White and embossed with white embossing powder on Basic Black card stock. While you could use a paper trimmer to cut these I think it works to hand trim them . If they aren't perfectly straight it is pat of the charm
- Add a few Glitter or Clear Epoxy (145632) bubble shapes to make your card extra refreshing!
I'll be back soon - tomorrow I'll show you a couple of variations on this sketch with pretty much the same basic "ingredients".
