I've been playing with a new bundle, Merry Christmas to All, and came up with a couple of different, yet simple cards inspired by this sketch challenge:
Look Ma, no images. I liked the simple graphic look of this -
- It's as simple as it looks.
- A simple Real Red, Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce with Whisper White color combination with a swirly die cut "Merry".
- I used the Subtle embossing folder on the Soft Sea Foam layer after stamping the word "Christmas" in Shaded Spruce.
The next card gets even more into the holiday spirit with Under the Mistletoe DSP.
- The "Christmas" for this card was stamped in a frame which is part of the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.
- Hint: stamp the frame first and it will be easier to center "Christmas". These were stamped in Versamark and embossed with White embossing powder. Whisper White craft is would also work. It would be easier to see the frame as you center the greeting.
Finally I have a card with just the stamp set and, surprise, Tranquil Textures DSP.
- I stamped the message and a few little sprigs of holly in Tranquil Tide and cut it out with an oval from Layering Ovals.
- The berries were made with a 1/4" punch with a little Wink of Stella for sparkle.
- The Tranquil Textures paper is a fun find for a Christmas card.
- The Berry Burst Silver trimmed ribbon pulls it all together.
