I'm back today with more Nothing Sweeter cards as part of a blog hop with Kylie's Demonstrator Training.
First I have to show you all of the Nothing Sweeter images that I colored on a road trip back on August. I had stamped a truckload of images to take along so I could play with my recently completed collection of Blends, Stampin' Up!'s re-released alcohol markers.
The bold line images of this set are the perfect size to get to know your Blends and try all sorts of techniques. I made dots and stripes and yes, even posies!
Here are a few of the gift images along with a birthday greeting from Perennial Birthday (145757/wood or 145760/clear):
- As you can see the stitching detail makes the Sweetly Stitched Framelits Dies (147918) a perfect complement to the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
- I used the Petal Pink and Pool Party Blends in both light and dark shades to color the gifts.
- The Subtle Embossing folder adds just a little more texture on the Petal Pink layer.
I whipped up a few 3 x 3" notecards to show off a little more of the stitching detail.
Nothing Sweeter stamps (147773) and the Sweetly Stitched Framelits (147918) are products that work together as a bundle (149955), yet are able to stand on their own. The shapes in the the framelit dies are simple enough to be recognized without stamped images, especially when the detail stitching is added. Scalloped and zig zag stitches will find their way into many creations. The Nothing Sweeter stamps are great fun to use by themselves and cover a variety of occasions. As you saw above, the bold lines and simple shapes are forgiving when experimenting and learning to use Stampin’ Up!’s alcohol markers, the Blends. You will find that their simplicity gives you plenty of room to express your own artistic flair.
Thank you so much for stopping by on the blog hop! After you finish the hop stop back and see me, Chris Smith, at inkpad.typepad.com for more creative ideas. You'll be able to click on the Nothing Sweeter link on my category sidebar to see Christmas cards with this bundle.
