One of the first images I chose to play with from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday catalog was the pretty whimsical leaf in Falling for Leaves (147680) or bundle (#149938). I'd ordered it with all the latest Blends and it was so fun to try with non-traditional colors. Here are just a few I have put together - just those with Soft Seafoam:
- I love both the large leaf and the large greeting though I've begun to think I like to use this larger message with the smaller leaves. Otherwise I have trouble deciding which one should be the focal point.
- This card also features the Swirls and Curls embossing folder (147923)
- This one really has non-traditional colors but I just loved using Poppy Parade (blended with Cherry Cobbler) and the light shades of Mint Macaron/Soft Seafoam plus a little Light Old Olive. Oh, it is heavenly to have so many great greens. I love to mix them together. Call Me Clover, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce are more greens that are available in the Blends line.
- You might notice that in both of these cards I tried to put some emphasis on the little layer of white scallops or lace between the inner and outer leaf.
- What do you think of the pretty little bit of lace trim. That is one of the dies in the thinlet part of the bundle.
- Isn't the Tin Tile embossing folder (#147906) the perfect touch for this whimsical card?
- This time I used this larger greeting, which is definitely a striking focal point, with these delicately colored leaflet.
- This card also takes advantage of the delicate Detailed Leaves thinlet. This is definitely a die set which can stand on its own without the stamp set - though I can't imagine not wanting both.
Check back later this week for more Falling for Leaves cards - those that didn't use Soft Seafoam!
