We are only a few days away from November when the gorgeous limited availability Snowflake Showcase suite becomes available. So... tonight I'm doing a little blog hopping with other demonstrators to give you a peek at what's in this timely suite.
The Snowflake Showcase is a suite of products which, while designed to work together, also stand on their own very well. While we all would like the whole suite, I want to show you that you can participate in the fun on a limited budget. This card uses just the beautiful Snow is Glistening stamp set and some basic heat embossing supplies.
The beautiful snowflake tree embosses beautifully.
- Here I embossed it in gold on Whisper White cardstock and added a few little snowflakes floating nearby.
- I mounted it on slightly larger piece of Gold Foil paper.
- The Night of Navy card base makes use of the 4 individual snowflake stamps to emboss clusters of snowflakes in the lower left and upper right corners, also in gold.
- The greeting, "Sending a blizzard of wishes for a wonderful season." is embossed on a scrap of Night of Navy with the flag end hand trimmed. To make the flag end: cut a slit about a 1/2" in from the middle of one end, make a cut from each corner to the end of your cut.
Cardstock Measurements:
Standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Night of Navy Card base (5 1/2" x 8 1/2" folded)
Whisper White 3" x 4 1/4"
Gold Foil Paper 3 1/16" x 4 5/16" - (This gives you a really thin border. Feel free to cut it 3 1/8" x 4 3/8" if you feel more comfortable with this.)
Greeting Flag: navy scrap cut to 3/4" x 3 1/2" after embossing the greeting.
4" x 5 1.4" Whisper White piece to layer inside - optional
All this gold is never easy to photograph. The words are clear but when I get enought light to show the shine the light bounces around and makes them blurry. Here is a another view:
