I've had this card in mind since I saw the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge last week.
Here is the sketch:
This is a 4 1/2" x 6" card that uses a folded sheet of watercolor paper as a base.
Embossed panel is 3" x 6" watercolor paper. (Softly Falling)
Mint Macaron layer is 3 1/8" x 6"
Oval is die cut with the 3" wide oval from Layered Ovals Framelits.
This oval piece makes good use of the whole Winter Woods Bundle. I used 3 colors of ink to get some depth to the faded trees in the background.
- I stamped the large tree onto moistened watercolor paperfirst with Soft Sea Foam. Spritzed more water and dabbed it off with a tissue. Repeated that with Mint Macaron. Leave light or white space for the greeting.
- Let this dry before coming back to stamp the tree again with Shaded Spruce, varying the levels.
- Add the greeting, again with Shaded Spruce.
- Stamp the pinecone with Early Espresson on Crumb Cake Cardstock, the pine bough on Mint Macaron with Shaded Spruce. Cut these out with thinlets along with 2 leaflets from Shaded Spruce and 2 leafless trees from Crumb Cake. Layer these as shown. You will need to cut apart the Crumb Cake trees into branches.
- Pop up over the panel with dimensionals.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a stamping visit today! If you happen to need a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I would love to help you.
