One of the colorful suites of products in the 2019 Occasions catalog that I haven't played with much (yet!) is the How Sweet It Is Suite. I'll get there ...but I did pull out the suite's beautiful Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green reversible Ribbon as inspiration for this card. Isn't it a showstopper?
- Stamp the lilies from Lasting Lily, with Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana onto a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White card stock. You will need to have the stems just about to the bottom of the card stock or they will be too high. Or stamp the flowers where you want them first and it won't matter where the stems end up. The bottoms will be covered by the blocks.
- I cut the Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green blocks 1 1/4" x 1 5/8" and butted the shorter ends together before taping them (regular cellophane tape) from the back.
- These taped blocks will be a bit wider than the stamped layer but I just center it and then trim the extra off. This is easier than having them turn out to just shy of the 4" width.
- Stamp your greeting in Bermuda Bay just high enough from the color blocks so that it won't be covered the ribbon.
- Add the ribbon, tying the bow at the stems.
- Add three Glitter Enamel Dots - You could use either Coastal Cabana or Granny Apple Green.
- Put it in the mail - or in the stash you keep for those unexpected occasions.
