Can you tell I like some "white" space on my cards even if it isn't white? The Beautiful Butterfly dies are so gorgeous that you can almost expect them to practically put the card together themselves. But I confess they kind of intimidated me. That is until I figured out to split them into two - so that I could have some white ... or Gray Granite ... or Petal Pink space.
As beautiful as the Beautiful Butterfly dies are, and they are beautiful, the Grapefruit Grove Foil is the real star of today's post.
- Copper embossing powder coordinates so well with the Grapefruit Foil paper.
- It is hard to get a truly accurate photo of this beautiful paper. It has a look that is much like a rose gold, especially when it is paired with Petal Pink.
- You could emboss your greeting directly onto the Gray Granite layer.
- This shows the Grapefruit Grove foil with Petal Pink and vellum card stock.
- "Our Sincere Condolences" is from the annual catalog set Kindness & Compassion
- This card uses Sahara Sand because it matches up best with the wood tone paper from the Floral Romance Specialty Paper collection. That's it peeking out from the inside of the card from behind the beautiful die cut vine edge.
- Petal Pink and Whisper White variegated ribbon ties together die cut elements of Petal Pink and Grapefruit Grove card stock plus Grapefruit Grove foil.
- The Grapefruit Foil Sprig and butterflies are cut from the scraps of the first two butterfly cards. You won't be wanting waste even a bit of this paper.
- Here is a close-up of some of this card's details, including the greeting which is copper embossed with "forever & always" from Itty Bitty Greetings and cut with one of the small dies from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits. This skinny rectangle die is a natural for the Itty Bitty Greetings.
So, what do you think of the Grapefruit Foil paper? It comes in a pack of 8: 4 each of 12" x 12" Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove sheets. And best of all this pack is free with an order of $50. I sent samples of this foil paper with the thank you gifts to my December customers and I'm pretty sure everyone made sure they got a free pack with their January order. It's that beautiful!
