Karen is our hostess for the next few weeks over at the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge. She chose the colors Pool Party + Silver metallic + White with snow or ice for dessert. Since I featured the beautiful Feels Like Frost papers and coordinating accessories in my November customer gifts I thought I would use some of them to work up this post holiday thank you card. We are all going to need some extra special Thank You cards, right?
- To begin with, I attached a 1" wide strip of the Feels Like Frost designer paper, with the silver foil snowflakes, to both sides of a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. A 3" x 5 1/2" panel of Pool Party is centered on this. I used Multi-purpose glue to attach two skinny strips of Silver Foil paper to either side of this panel. Sadly, this popular designer paper is out for now but scheduled to make a return appearance next year.
- I am previewing the So Sentimental Bundle for the focal point greeting and die cuts - both the greeting and the vellum card stock layer underneath. You can check out the other greetings in this set in the thumbnail at the bottom of my post. This bundle will be available January 3, 2020!
- Snowflakes were die cut with the Seasonal Layers dies out of Silver Foil and Silver Glimmer paper and attached near the upper left and lower right edges of my die cut greeting layers. Seriously, as much as I love all sorts of dies, this Seasonal Layers set is really a work horse and is almost like a basic tool. It's always in front of my die file. Flowers, a branch, leaves, snowflakes, scallops and even an adirondack chair. I'm such a fan.
- For a little extra sparkle I added some basic rhinestones to the smaller snowflakes and the greeting layer. Voila!
