This week we have such a happy color combination for the Splitcoaststampers' Color Challenge: Daffodil Delight + Calypso Coral + Seaside Spray. I have a little love affair going on with Seaside Spray so that easily became the primary color in both of these cards.
- I love how the warmth of Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral contrast with the cool Seaside Spray so I pulled out some of my Seaside Spray 6x6 Designer Series Papers for both of these cards.
- I'm lovin' the gingham look with these happy cake colors!
- The lace is done with the Delicate Lace dies.
- I was able to mix the light Daffodil with the light Seaside Blends to get a nice green for my leaves.
- I super-imposed the Ornate Floral design (tiny daisies) by embossing the Seaside Spray DSP with the folder and sanding it down just enough to let the white core of the paper show through. A favorite technique I haven't done for a while.
- The flower images, lace edged Rectangle die, embossing folder, AND thanks greetings are from a Suite that will be an early release in April. Stay tuned for more about these lovely stamping tools.
