I'm continuing my last minute series of Sale-A-Bration Posts and this time I'm mixing it up with a sketch challenge and blog hop.
Here is the sketch we will all be using on today's blog hop:
The directions said that we could be as strict or interpretive as we want. I'll let you decide if I was strict or not.
- I decided that I was going to feature two Sale-A-Bration products in this card. The only way to get these is for free with a purchase $100(US) worth of product. Since I was going to be using dies I thought why not feature my most used dies and show what you could do by adding the Field and Flower designer series paper (DSP)and the Heal Your Heart greetings as the free product. The dies featured here would earn you these and I promise you they are work horses in my craft room: Stitched Shapes, Stitched Rectangles and Layering Ovals.
- There is a lot of fussy cutting for this card since all of my daisies and greens come from the DSP. With just a bit of practice this actually is quite relaxing. My tip is to turn your paper as you cut instead of the scissors. Think about this just a bit as your cut and I think it will become second nature.
- Take note of how putting black cardstock behind the Stitched Shapes lends an accent to the stitches. I cut My black layer just one notch or 1/16th of an inch larger so it doesn't add too much more black but gives a much nicer finish.
