I know there's been some pretty snow, sparkling ice and crisp temperatures, but really! Are we ready to think spring? YES!!! Today I'm blog hopping with a talented group of stampers and we are bringing a taste of spring:
I had a lot of fun playing around with both the lamb and the bunny in this adorable stamp set. As you can see they work well with either the Blends alcohol markers or the watercolor pencils:
My first card was done using this weeks Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge Colors: Pear Pizzazz + Flirty Flamingo + Mango Melody. I even have stitched dies for dessert!
Here is a close up of that cute little lamb:
I putzed a little longer with this bunny bunny. I've enjoyed the watercolor pencils quite a bit lately - leaving out the water and just keeping the "pencil" look. Then you don't have to worry about what ink you use.
- I was going for a collage look and layered in the Rectangle Postage punch and the Stitched Lace die for added texture.
- A little fussy cutting of the flowers add so much and it was fairly quick to do. Just cut out the space around the leaves first, while you still have something to hold on to!
- The DSP is a preview of the color family 6x6 papers that will be in next year's catalog. I'm really excited about getting the diagonal plaid in every color! If you sign up to be a demonstrator before the end of February, during Sale-A-Bration you will get these free in your kit!
