Today's cards all feature one die - the manger figures from Stampin' Up!'s Night Divine Dies along with greetings from the coordinating Stamp Set. Though they are all fairly simple in appearance there are a few details that might not meet the eye so I have done a few videos about them.
Without further ado...
- This is a pretty easy card to do. The "surprise" on this one is that I used watercolor paper instead of regular cardstock for the lightest layer, not for the watercolor qualities but simply for the texture.
- Colors are Pecan Pie, Watercolor paper and Crumb Cake with Pecan Pie ink.
- This card is inspired by my own nativity set. My mother originally bought it from a gentleman who made it in ceramics at the nursing home where she volunteered. It's very simple, just Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus in the manger.
- This card also uses the Stylish Shapes dies for the circle and the Stars at Night hybrid embossing folder for the star. You could use other dies that you might have for the circle or star.
- I chose the music embossing in the background just to get you humming O Holy Night. See more about how I put this together in my video:
- The third card makes use of one of my favorite die sets, Christmas Pinecone. I often use these to turn non-Christmas sets into Christmas cards. I also set my cream colored nativity set into a bed of greens, usually cedar.
- You can find out more about assembling this card from the video:
That's it for today. Happy papercrafting!
