Layers of Beauty was the first toy I played with when I received my preorder and it's almost preventing me from playing with anything else. Geesh!
Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I did while playing with this week's Color challenge at Splitcoaststampers.
Barbara chose these colors: Polished Pink, Lemon Lolly and Parakeet Party plus she suggested we use an embossing folder if we'd like "dessert".
- This first card makes use of a smaller die that cuts out just a portion of the larger bouquet.
- I used one of the Fun Patterns embossing folders for my dessert. This is a regular (non 3-D) folder and I was pleasantly surprised that this pattern didn't soften the cardstock too much so it still made a nice firm card base.
Same card, different version:
- I couldn't bear to toss out the remaining parts of the bouquet so I tried putting one of the pieces as a second image draped down from the top of the card.
I can't decide which I like better but maybe you can see why I have trouble butting this bundle away...
