All For Baby - Simplicity Does the Trick

 

Hello again stamping friends.  I'm back again because I just sent off my husband to bring a baby gift to a colleague and I thought I would quickly try to join in on today's Kid's & Babies Blog Hop with the crew over at Crafty Collaborations.

This is such a simple, quick card:

• The kraft paper that is part of the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite goes beautifully with the polka dot kraft wrapping paper I had on hand.
• Basic White dies and a little white embossing was all I needed with dies that have this much precious detail.

Do you ever think about your favorite stamping colors when you purchase wrapping paper. I know that the cards don't have to match the paper but it is so satisfying when you can make it happen.

Just Playing Around with Biggest Wish

Just a quick little blog post for Share It Sunday.

I had intended to ink up a new set, Biggest Wish but am opting to share a Big Love baby card I made earlier this week:

• The clothesline is an obvious theme of this adorable baby stamp set, All For Baby, and I mostly just plugged in the colors for last week's color challenge: Poppy Parade, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green.

• The shading on the images is a feature of the stamps. I was bummed to realize that I mistakenly ordered this set without its coordinating dies but in the end it really just plain old stamping made me realize just how cute these are. Once I ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss with the Tasteful Textile folder it looked almost like I had watercolored the images
  

• Dessert for this challenge is to use designer series paper (DSP). I layered two different colors of the same DSP pattern so that the plaid lined up for a simple border that mimics the grass under the clothesline.
