Have you had a chance to play with Stampin' Up!'s new In Colors 2021-2023 yet? Or maybe you are on the fence? Well, I've got the post (and Blog Hop!) for you today. I'm hopping with the Crafty Collaborations team and everyone will be featuring the In Colors, with or without Stampin' Up!'s other fabulous colors.
Every year I pick out a few of the new colors that quickly become favorites and then over the next few years I slowly grow to love them all as I find new color combinations to love. This year I think it is love at first sight for all of five.
Here are a few that I put together yesterday as I was playing around with the Color & Contour Bundle and the new Plenty of Patterns masks:
I added some Daffodil Delight to Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Pale Papaya when I used this cute little scalloped mask as a stencil with my blending brushes. And then I couldn't wait to add even more scallops with big scallop die that is part of the Color & Contours Bundle.
Why not add even more scallops by layering a piece of this luscious Fresh Freesia Shimmer Vellum? Hint: I used Stampin' Seal + to attach the vellum to the white cardstock and it doesn't show through. This next photo catches the shimmer of the vellum a little better if you excuse the wonky angle.
I even embossed my blooms on the vellum. Add scallops on the greeting, some Open Weave Fresh Freesia Ribbon and a sprinkling of Fresh Freesia Jewels and I've fully gone overboard - in such a fun way - on this cheerful card.
My piece of stenciled paper was big enough for at least 3 cards. Here is one more with a tried and true card sketch:
After layering a leftover strip on the folded edge of my card, I cut a large stitched triangle and use it to trim a white card front to get the correct angle.
Add a quick little flower, using the Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen for the leaves and I've got all of the new colors accounted for - and well loved besides! The ribbon, jewels and shimmering vellum that come in these colors are kind of like frosting on the cake.
Now to continue with the blog hop, first with a little explanation of who is participating.
