I'm back again today hopping with the amazing stampers that Angie Mackenzie has put together with the Around the World on Wednesdays team.
This month we are casing the new January - June 2022 Mini Catalog. I chose to case a card on page 29:
If you look closely you will see some tone on tone die cuts in the background of the card. That intrigued me and I decided to try a similar card with the Crane of Fortune Bundle from the Symbols of Fortune Suite which is found on page 22:
- I also simplified my colors, choosing to use just Soft Sea Foam and Basic White along with a Mossy Meadow stamped greeting.
- The most time consuming part was layering the gingko type leaflets on my card base. But even that isn't too hard if you use adhesive sheets. Any extra time this does take is well worth it for the lacy appearance this lends to a special occasion card!
- Cut a label with the Tasteful Label dies along with three small leaflets from the Basic White Thick card stock.
- Stamp the floral image off on scratch paper once and then stamp a soft image on the label die cut. Stamp your greeting over this using Mossy Meadow.
- Attach one leaflet to the upper left of the label and two leaflets to the lower right, then attach the whole label to your card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Add a few Polished Dots and you have an elegant wedding or graduation card!
