Welcome to the Remarkable Stampers New Catalog Blog Hop - and welcome back to my blog. I've been busy with things like gardens and household projects so I've set aside all the photographing hoopla that goes with blogging, Facebook and Instagram. But I'm back today to start celebrating Stampin' Up!'s beautiful 2018-2019 Annual Catalog!
The first set I started playing with once the catalog went live and almost everything became available was Floral Frames. I was so intrigued not only by all the layering possibilities that it presents but also the lovely detailed leaves, a perfect opportunity to play with some of Stampin' Up!'s fresh new greens. Here are just of few of the cards I've done during my first go round getting to know this bundle.
This first card shows what a great wedding set this is. It also showcases the lovely new Soft Sea Foam color in the Subtles Color Collection. Here it plays beautifully with Very Vanilla and a few pearls. The carried over embossing folder, Quilt Top, lends additional texture.
Here we have a little more color: Granny Apple Green with the returning Flirty Flamingo. The stripes are from the 6"x6" Designer Series Paper in Brights.
This card features the stamp set without the framelits, this time with Daffodil Delight DSP. The coloring was done with Blends.
This card show just the framelits, used with the sentiment and Crumb Cake twine from the Rooted in Nature Suite. I've brought back one of my favorite color combinations from the past: Crumb Cake + Real Red + Bright Green (Granny Apple Green) and classic Green (Call Me Clover). A little Black and White make these colors pop! As you can see this bundle (#148405 Wood or 148406 Clear) comes with both the Floral Frames stamp set and the Foliage Frame Framelits Dies. While they are absolutely wonderful together both stand well on their own too. I've had so much fun playing with this set that I have yet to play with any others from my most recent delivery (Love You to Pieces, All the Good Things, Kindness and Compassion, Tropical Chic). I hope you will come back to check to find more new ideas another time. In the meantime continue with the blog hop to see loads more beautiful inspiration. I am #13 so the next blog is #14, Tricia Traxler.
